Our Experience

Brownstein & Associates has a reach that extends across both coasts. Personally, Amy lived in Los Angeles for 9 years and is now bi-coastal spending a good amount of time in each city. Her company's objectives are simple: create a customized, strategic media campaign for every client, in order to achieve more opportunities, more money and career choices for that client. Whether the client is a talent with a Broadway show, Television program or Movie to promote, has an album coming out or makes his/her living behind the camera as a producer, director or writer, the company has proven to craft unique, provocative and results-oriented strategies.

Further, whether this is an emerging talent or an established name, the company treats each client with white gloves catering to their needs to develop and sustain an image that projects the kind of performer they are or want to become. On the corporate front, whether the company is handling film incentives for a growing country, an online television network, an environmental company looking for exposure in the business press, or creating celebrity events and campaigns for philanthropies, Brownstein and Associates makes sure that the strategy and the implementation behind it not only meets short and long term objectives, but is also derived from the passion of the client as well as the publicist.

Amy Brownstein, Founder

Amy Brownstein

Amy Brownstein has worked in public relations for 20 years. She specializes in a broad array of publicity, ranging from personal, lifestyle and entertainment PR to corporate entertainment, music and film. She is passionate, prestigious, has amazing contacts and gets the job done without the complications and trappings of a big agency.

As the head of this prestigious boutique agency, Amy personally works closely with talent and other clients to create an atmosphere of trust and creativity. She does not sign clients and then never speak with them again. Clients can rest assured that not only is the work getting done, but that Brownstein herself is on the phone pitching with her staff to achieve stellar results.

Between her vast network of contacts and her "can-do" attitude, Amy has placed her clients everywhere, from national television to monthly magazines, blogs to newspapers. The full list of Brownstein's achievements is much too vast to fit on a single page. However, Brownstein has placed clients in publications such as Harper's, Allure, Elle, the New York Times, Financial Times Ebony, Vogue, Vanity Fair and Vibe to name a few. On the television side, clients weekly appear CNN's Showbiz Tonight, Larry King, The View, Today Show, Fox and Friends, Jimmy Kimmel, Craig Kilboune and more.

Tim Yates/Senior Account Executive
Tim Yates is a Senior Account Executive at Brownstein & Associates. He has worked for the firm on and off since 2005.

Yates brings 10 years of experience in entertainment and lifestyle publicity to the company. His focus is on co-representing the Brownstein & Associates celebrity clientele as well as using his expertise in the lifestyle area to build a division that would focus on lifestyle and beauty product placement, celebrity seeding, and entertainment marketing. He has worked for agencies such as JS Squared, Primetime Omnimedia, and Ruder Finn in various positions.

He cites one of the most exciting campaigns he ever worked on to be the launch of LeBlon Cacahca, a Brazilian liquor. He was responsible for introducing the brand to the United States resulting in placements in publications such as USA Today, Robb Report, Esquire, Men’s Journal, Essence and numerous trade publications. He also worked on the Seagram’s Gin Live Concert Series in 2004 doing publicity for a 20 city tour, as well as landing national print and television media such as Today Show, Good Morning America, Larry King and more on behalf of former President Jimmy Carter’s book The Hornet’s Nest.

Tim has a southern charm, as he is from Mississippi, and attended Jackson State University with a major in Print Journalism. He looks forward to his long term career with Brownstein & Associates.
